MANUKAU ISLAMIC YOUTH CENTRE (MIYC), is a thriving community organization in Papatoetoe and surrounding areas. Located in the heart of Old Papatoetoe town centre along Saint George Street, the purpose of it to provide a place of worship "Masjid At-Tawheed", a place of learning, Islamic education (tarbiyah), connecting communities and social services, promote wellness and wellbeing and Dawah to the community in the true form.

Started by a group of committed youths and scholars who saw a need in the growing south Auckland area to provide a cosmopolitan venue for the migrant communities that have made New Zealand their new home. Connecting with existing resources to support the multicultural, multi-ethnic communities, old and new migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, the new Muslims, and the future generations.

By the blessings of ALLAH swt we are coming up to 13 months since opening the centre in 2022. We've established five times daily prayers and Jummah led by qualified scholars and huffard (memorized the entire Qur'an).

The current location is rented. It has been extensively renovated to convert into a purpose fit Masjid and community centre.

Activities at MIYC:

• Five times daily Salah and Friday (Jummah) Prayers
• Weekly and Monthly Islamic lectures (Daras) in English, Urdu and Ethiopian language
• Counseling Services provide by Clinical Professionals
• Kids Qur'aan Hifz and Senior Qur'aan classes
• Special Recreation Area for Kids
• Dawah weekly market stall and Dawah Table
• Regular courses - Provided by Mashaikhs
• Janaza Services in collaboration with Working Together Group - WTG
