New Masjid Project

In the Name Allah the most Kind the most Merciful, and peace and blessings be upon his final Messenger Muhammed.

Alhamdulillah We are pleased to announce that on the 7th of December 2023 we entered into a legal agreement to acquire a quarter Hectare plot of land for the purpose of building a new, purpose built Masjid for our community in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. InshaAllah, this new facility will serve as a multifunctional and multipurpose space that provides much needed areas for Worship, Educational, Dawah, Social & Sports facilities, and other Communal functions. We humbly request everyone to support us through their duas and donations to help bring this project to fruition.

We urgently need to raise £450,000 to complete the purchase within the first half of 2024.

Our current Masjid and Islamic Centre in Scunthorpe, was a converted terraced building that was open in the early 1990s, which we have vastly outgrown, the muslim population has increased by ~40% between the 2011 and 2021 census, we are still experiencing a high growth rate and expect it to increase on the current trajectory. We have a very unique compositional make up in our masjid Pakistanis, Bengalis, Kurdish, Afghanis, Somalians and Arabs, we provide a range of much needed services to the local Muslim community and wider society in North Lincolnshire, regardless of nationality or ethnicity. These services include, but are not limited to, providing worship facilities, education, dawah, charity and disaster relief fundraising, funeral and wedding services, sports and social events, activities for Children and other communal events deemed to be beneficial.
