Masjidbox is a technology platform that helps you manage your mosque donations. We are not a charity — we provide tools to mosques and their donors.

Masjidbox operates as a technology platform connecting mosque donors with the mosques they support. We facilitate donation tracking, subscription management, tax receipt generation, and Gift Aid declarations. Masjidbox does not collect, hold, or distribute charitable funds. All donations are processed directly by your mosque through their payment provider (Stripe). Masjidbox's role is to provide the software tools that make managing your giving easier.

You own your account and can delete it anytime. We need a verified email to match your donations securely.

To use the Masjidbox Donor Portal, you must register with a valid email address and verify it via a one-time code. Your account belongs to you. You can update your profile information, change your email or password, and close your account at any time from your dashboard settings. When you close your account, your personal data is anonymised while donation records are preserved for the mosques' financial reporting obligations.

Donations are processed by your mosque, not by Masjidbox. We help you track and manage them in one place.

Masjidbox matches donations to your account using your email address and payment card fingerprint. You can claim, review, and manage donations across multiple mosques from a single dashboard. The donation itself is a transaction between you and your mosque — Masjidbox does not process payments, hold funds, or take any percentage of your donation. We simply provide visibility and management tools.

When you designate a donation as Zakat, your mosque distributes it per their Zakat policy. Masjidbox does not determine Zakat eligibility.

Islamic giving categories (Zakat, Sadaqah, Waqf, Lillah, Fidyah, Kaffarah) are designated by you at the time of donation. Your mosque is solely responsible for ensuring Zakat funds are distributed to eligible recipients according to Islamic jurisprudence. Masjidbox displays your designation but does not verify, audit, or guarantee how funds are allocated by the receiving mosque.

You can pause, resume, or cancel recurring donations anytime through your dashboard. No need to contact the mosque.

Recurring donations (subscriptions) can be fully managed from your Masjidbox dashboard. You can pause a subscription temporarily, resume it, cancel it permanently, update the donation amount, or change the payment method — all without contacting the mosque directly. Changes take effect immediately. Cancelled subscriptions can be reactivated if the campaign is still active.

Recurring Donation SMS Notifications

When you set up a recurring donation on a supported Masjidbox donation terminal, you enter a mobile phone number. Masjidbox may use it to send you transactional text messages about that donation, such as a confirmation and a link to view and manage it in the Donor Portal.
Message frequency depends on your recurring donation and on the verification codes you request. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out of future text messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@masjidbox.com.
Opting out of text messages does not cancel or modify your recurring donation. You can continue to manage it through the Donor Portal.
These messages are not used for marketing or promotional fundraising appeals. Our SMS Notifications page and Privacy Policy give the details.

Refund requests are submitted through Masjidbox and processed by your mosque. We facilitate, we don't decide.

You can request a refund for an eligible donation through the Masjidbox Donor Portal. Your request is forwarded to the receiving mosque, which has sole authority to approve or reject refund requests. Masjidbox facilitates the communication and tracking of refund requests but does not make refund decisions. Approved refunds are processed through the original payment method via Stripe.

We'll notify you by email before making significant changes to these terms.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Minor updates (clarifications, formatting) may be made without notice. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
