Changelog
A round-up of the smaller fixes that keep your mosque website loading reliably for every visitor.
Campaign pages now display correctly even when a campaign has no cover image attached. The subscription payment step now handles setup errors instead of leaving visitors stuck.
Gift Aid auto-claim is now live for every eligible UK mosque. It is out of beta and switched on for everyone. For UK charities, Gift Aid lets you reclaim 25% on top of each qualifying donation, so a 100 pound gift is worth 125 pounds at no extra cost to the donor.
The whole process now runs on its own. You connect your mosque to HMRC once. After that, the Gift Aid declaration is captured the moment someone gives, and eligible donations are gathered, checked and submitted to HMRC for you in the background. The extra 25% comes back to your mosque automatically, with no spreadsheets to keep and no manual submissions to remember.
Reliability was the priority. Claims include safeguards so the same donation is never submitted twice, UK forces and overseas (BFPO) addresses are handled correctly, and a donor's choice is remembered properly when they decline Gift Aid.
Donors now have their own portal. The new Donor Portal lets supporters sign in to see their giving history, download receipts, and manage their recurring donations in one secure place. This means less back-and-forth for your team and more independence for your community.
We rebuilt the portal emails so they display correctly in every inbox, and we added faster support right inside the portal.
Donors can sign in to review their full giving history and manage recurring gifts themselves. Donor emails were redesigned to display cleanly across all email apps. Support chat inside the portal now recognises signed-in donors automatically for faster help. Your donation terminal subscription is now part of your regular Masjidbox billing, so there are no separate invoices to track.
Fixed a rare issue that could repeat a live announcement on the donation page. Made campaign images optional in the portal so pages always load. Fixed a payment-setup issue that could occur when donors started a new recurring gift.
A round-up of smaller fixes for device setup and reminders.
We removed the discontinued Firestick option from the device setup wizard, so the list now only shows hardware we support. Clearing all selected days on a reminder now removes the day restrictions instead of keeping the old choices.
Masjidbox now shows where Muslims are praying right now, all around the world. A new live prayer map gathers prayer activity from thousands of mosques and shows it as a glowing globe, so your community can feel part of a worldwide ummah in worship.
As communities reach each prayer, their mosques light up on the map. You see worship move across time zones throughout the day. The map opens instantly with no sign-in step, so anyone can watch the world light up prayer by prayer.
Prayer activity is now grouped by city, so you can see how busy each place is at a glance. Each mosque now appears at its own precise location within a city, so the map shows far more detail about where prayers are happening.
The live prayer map now opens straight away, with no extra verification step. The map now reliably captures every prayer happening at the same moment, even during the busiest times of day.
You can now download your full donation history as a spreadsheet, with Gift Aid details included. You can use it for accounting, year-end reporting, or sharing figures with your trustees in a common spreadsheet format.
A few small touches that make your mosque app quicker and friendlier to use day to day.
A few fixes for navigation and ordering on the dashboard.
The demo banner now links to the right place wherever you're working, so you can try Masjidbox in one click. Out-of-stock products on the order page can no longer be selected, so you can't order an item we can't ship.
