Meet the Masjidbox Terminal

Introducing the Masjidbox Terminal, a card reader that lets your mosque collect donations in person. Built on the Stripe Reader S700, it takes contactless cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and chip cards from Visa, Mastercard and Amex, and a payment clears in under five seconds.

Every donation appears on your dashboard live and joins the same reports and campaigns as your online giving. A donor can scan a QR code for an emailed receipt, start a recurring gift (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly) right on the terminal, and add a Gift Aid declaration, with HMRC-ready reports for UK mosques. It keeps working if WiFi drops and syncs once it reconnects.

Donations, October 2025: Improvements & Fixes

This month's donations update brings two small but useful refinements. When you set up a campaign, Masjidbox now runs eligibility checks so it is configured correctly before it goes live. And for recurring giving, each campaign now shows a clear next-collection date, so you and your donors can see exactly when the next payment will be taken.

Show Prayer Times in 12- or 24-Hour Format

Your community can now see prayer times the way they are used to reading them. Mosques can choose between a 12-hour or 24-hour clock for their prayer times, so whether your congregation prefers "6:45 PM" or "18:45", the display matches local habits.

It is a small setting that makes prayer times easier to read.

Prayer time tables now use a clearer, better-sized font that is easy to read.

Dashboard Improvements and Fixes

Sharing your prayer schedule is now a lot easier. You can generate a QR code for your prayer times in seconds. Print it, put it up at the entrance, or post it online so your community always has the latest times a quick scan away.

We also fixed a date and timing issue in scheduling, so your prayer times line up exactly as they should. It is a small fix, but it keeps the everyday running of your mosque smooth.

Mosques now have complete flexibility to match campaign frequency to their fundraising needs. Create daily campaigns for Ramadan iftar programmes or the last 10 nights of Ramadan. Launch weekly campaigns tied to Jumu'ah collections. Set up monthly campaigns for ongoing operational expenses. Establish yearly campaigns for major projects or annual memberships.

Donations Recurring Cover

The game-changing addition is recurring-only campaigns that disable one-time donations entirely. This enables mosques to build sustainable membership programmes where donors commit to automatic monthly or yearly renewals. Examples include:
  • Annual Membership: Require recurring payments for £50/year, ensuring predictable revenue for salaries and utilities
  • Building Fund: Lock in monthly £50 contributions over 3 years for construction financing
  • Islamic School Tuition: Collect term-based recurring payments aligned to academic calendars

Mosques can run multiple simultaneous campaigns: a daily Ramadan iftar appeal accepting one-time donations, whilst maintaining a recurring-only monthly membership programme and a recurring-only yearly sustainer circle, each with independent privacy settings for showing or hiding collected amounts.

Widgets Small

We've introduced a compact prayer times widget specifically designed for website header placement, allowing mosques to display prayer times prominently without occupying significant screen space. This enables seamless integration into existing website designs whilst maintaining clear visibility of all prayer times throughout the day.
